#Shakespeare is an exciting new webseries created by actor-producers Sanee Raval and Bridget Randolph in collaboration with composer Kiran Dhoot. Working with a diverse team of young creatives and performers, they have developed the series in honor of this year’s Shakespeare quatercentenary.

The first webseries episode is currently in production, set for a teaser release on April 23 (the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death) and a full release date of May 6, and retells one of Much Ado About Nothing’s iconic scenes by bringing a hyper-modern edge to the Bard’s immortal words.
The first episode, titled BEATRICE, gives viewers a never-before-seen glimpse inside the mind of Shakespearean heroine Beatrice (Bridget Randolph), as she reacts to the shock of her best friend Hero (Game of Thrones’ Meena Rayann) being rejected at the altar by Claudio (Rebirth’s Sanee Raval).
Filmed on Beatrice’s laptop screen, BEATRICE uses the medium of digital media (Facebook, Youtube, Facetime) to tell the classic story in a new way. Composer and executive producer Kiran Dhoot’s original score plays with the digital themes of the film, culminating in an explosive rap battle which fuses Shakespeare’s classical lines with modern rhymes and sets the tone of the piece.
The next two episodes are set to launch in June and July. Follow us and join our mailing list for more information!
